Wood Badge Weekend

I spent last weekend in full scout uniform, singing songs, and playing games. The weird thing was: I was not with my son or any other kids. I was attending Wood Badge. What is Wood Badge? Unless you are an avid adult Scouter, you probably do not know what Wood Badge is.

Pictures From Our Camping Trip

Here are some pictures from our first camping trip. I hope everyone had a great time. I look forward to the next trip. Thanks to Jan for supplying some of the pictures.

Our First Pack Night

Let the fun begin! We kicked off our first official Pack meeting as Pack 567. We used our first Pack meeting to give out some awards that our Scouts earned over the summer and we showed off our new flags that were generously donated by Senator Bob Wirch. Thanks to everyone who was there and I look forward to our next Pack Night.

Summer Day Camp Pictures.

All the pictures from our fun week at Summer Day camp at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta have been combined into one album. See the fun we had.

Summer Day Camp -- Day 2 & 3

The Pack has finished Summer Day Camp days 2 and 3. We only got a little wet on day 2, but the rain was during swimming time, so nobody minded. The kids are getting better with their archery and marksmanship, and we've been pretty fortunate that the bugs were not too bad. Here are pictures from days 2 and 3:

Summer Day Camp -- Day 1

Day one of "Summer Day Camp" was pretty fun! It started off quite hot and steamy and cooled off with an afternoon thunderstorm. Before the rain came we did manage to get in some Scout Skills, Archery, BB-Guns and some swimming and fishing.

After waiting out the storm in the lunch hall we made it back out for a nice game of dodge ball.

Flag Day (June 14th)

If there are any Scouts interested in helping out with the Kenosha Flag Day ceremony on Thursday, June 14th.
The ceremony is at 5:30 PM across from the Kenosha Harbor and in front of the globe fountain by the Municipal building (Veterans' Park).
Interested Scouts should be at the globe fountain by 5 PM in full uniform to go over the ceremony.
Please let me know if you think you might attend, so I can let them know how many Scouts to expect.

Memorial Day 2007

Let us not forget what Memorial Day is for.

Our Pack will be attending Memorial Day services at Green Ridge Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28th. Please come in complete uniform.
